    • The Indiana Purple Star School Designation honors schools that have displayed a significant commitment to service members, veterans, and students and families connected to our nation’s military. The Purple Star School Designation is valid for a three-year time period. Schools awarded this designation are listed below.

    • We appreciate Mrs. Carson's commitment to assist our local veterans and their families. Mrs. Carson completed specialized training to fill this need to better equipped to help veteran families.

    • Each year the students and staff at CJSHS honor our local veterans either with a school assembly or as honored guests at a fish fry fundraiser held at the school.

    • At the February 19, 2024 Smith-Green Community Schools Board of Education adopted a  Resolution in Support of Military Families.

    • CJSHS is committed to offering military service members and their immediate family members interviews for job openings at Churubusco Jr-Sr High School when they meet the minimum qualifications.
