  • Because the Smith-Green Community Schools Library staff is committed to fostering authentic and lifelong learning, effective teaching, responsible access to and use of information, and a love of reading and the exchange of ideas, we work to ensure the following for all SGCS students and staff: 

    • intellectual and physical access to materials in a variety of formats and covering a variety of ideas and genres of literature
    • quality instruction that fosters competent use of information, including information tools, and that stimulates interest in reading, viewing, discussing, publishing, and using information and ideas
    • collegial partnerships with other educators to design learning activities that meet the educational needs of all students.

  • SAT, ACT, & AP test reviews!

    The Testing and Educational Reference Center (TERC) is just one of the databases available through INSPIRE (see general info about INSPIRE above).

    Through the TERC, you can take FREE, practice tests for the SAT, ACT and AP tests. After launching INSPIRE, you'll find a link to the TERC on the main screen (look to the bottom left corner). Once inside the TERC, look for the link "College Admissions Test Preparation" to access the ACT and SAT practice tests.

    Just because you find an image online does not mean that you have the right to use it however you want. There are limits. Images that others publish on the Internet are copyright protected.

    Generally, fair use allows you to use these images for school work, but if you begin to share those projects (either electronically or printed and distributed), then you may be violating copyright.
